I have been suspicious about the whole multiple meals per day thing for years now. Especially since I found out where that whole idea of breakfast came from. You probably already know that the whole concept of breakfast did not come from science nor did it even come from doctors.
Remember some of these phrases?
"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day"
"Kickstart your metabolism"
“Eat breakfast to keep your weight under control”
“Start your day right.”
“Champions eat breakfast.” / “Wheaties: The Breakfast of Champions.”
“The wholesome way to start your morning”
“Breakfast gives you energy for the day ahead.”
Some of these phrases and concepts are still circulating in culture today.
But is it or are they true? The answer is NO! So why and where did it come from?
Well, like I said above it did not come from science or doctors.
The whole concept actually came from serial companies like Kellogg's and General Mills. Around 1917 "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" was born to sell more of Kellogg's Cornflakes. Yep, it had nothing to do with metabolism, health, or a better way to start your day. It was simply for profit! Seriously, when are we going to wake up to the fact that this big food industry is never going to actually put out anything that is healthy or in our best interest. NEVER! Rockefeller actually started the breakfast concept breakfast cereal companies, grain mills, and early industrial food manufacturers jumped right in. Breakfast became a business strategy, not a health practice.
The change in our meal schedules began in 1900. One family "the Rockefellers" restructured the worlds eating routine not for wellness, but for wealth. They literally rewired human biology and made the clock your new master. One of the key questions to ask here is "who profits when you eat more?" Are you the one that profits or are they the ones that profit? I think it's really important to ask that question and to think about it.
When I look back on our ancient ancestors, they did not eat multiple meals per day. Their eating routine was based on hunger, successful hunting, seasons, energy demands and things like that. It was never based on the clock if you will.
John D. Rockefeller understood three main things: 1. Control oil and you control industry. 2. Control medicine and you control people. 3. Control food and you control the future.
Those three things can get a little scary when you really stop and start thinking about it and where we are today. You see, for thousands of years one to two meals per day was just the normal across all cultures.
The entire framework that supports the 3+ meals per day was done by John D. Rockefeller. The entire framework that supports it meaning: modern medical schools, nutritional guidelines, pharmaceutical dominance, and anti-animal-fat propaganda can be traced straight back to Rockefeller influence.
He actually funded and paid for "nutritional science" to push constant eating (a business model, not biology).
He wanted to keep his workers dependent and submissive to the system. But it went well beyond "his workers". It got expanded to us!! But before we go any further I do want to take a moment and talk just a little bit about his workers. Because as I began to do a little research and dig, I found out some interesting things about his workers. The Rockefellers oil empire was expanding rapidly and factory workers began collapsing mid shift. This is one of the reasons why he created the concept of breakfast. But here's the question that I asked as I made this discovery: why did his workers began collapsing mid shift? How long were their work hours and how were they treated as workers? Our ancient ancestors had no problem fasting for long periods of time while remaining extremely active. Talk about things that make you go "hmmmmmmm........".
It just didn't make sense to me. Well, as I did a little digging my suspicions were confirmed. The factory workers had to endure 12 to 16 hour shifts, no breaks, no protection from heat or fumes, no labor laws, no safety standards, and physical exhausting manual labor every minute of the shift. Add onto that Rockefellers refiners were some of the worst: they had extremely hot environments, heavy machinery, constant exposure to chemical fumes, dangerous and flammable surroundings, and high physical output with no recovery. Our ancestors didn't deal with this kind of man-made environment. They were also inhaling toxic things like kerosene fumes, crude oil vapors, early petrochemicals, and much more.
Worker conditions were horrible for anyone who worked in the Rockefeller factories. It's no wonder why his workers would collapse mid shift. It was literally because of how they were treated. On top of that, the food that the factory workers had available to them and ate, was the lowest quality available and almost no meats no animal fats and very little nutrition.
So he created the concept of breakfast...or at least that is how I see it. It's more correct to say that he highly influenced and incentivized the industry. And it was not because it was healthy it was more for energy because it increased productivity. It had nothing to do with health! I would go as far as to say it had to do with slave labor! That's a pretty bold statement I know, but seriously!
In contrast, why did our ancient ancestors never have a problem with collapsing. They had clean air, sunlight, walking, hunting, natural movement, high protein, fat diets, no processed grains, no seed oils, no industrial toxins, and the list goes on.
Anyhow, shortly after the whole breakfast thing started, big food jumped in on it as well. Keep in mind that the breakfast foods that were promoted were nutritiously rich. The main food that was promoted was cereal. Which is nothing but a carb and sugar fest and does nothing but chronically spike blood sugar and insulin.
Rockefeller began funding things that were in the best interest for profit. He began funding universities, medical schools, research institutions, and government advisory boards. He then began to fund early anti-fat campaigns, early grain-based diet promotion, research attacking animal foods and studies showing “benefits” of cheap industrial foods. Do you see where all of this is going? Nothing truly about real nutrition or what is truly in the best health interests of people. But everything that is in the interest of his agenda and profits.
He highly influenced and incentivized the industry in the direction that he wanted but it was not directly created by him as I stated above
He also funded and commissioned something called "The Flexner Report (1910)". This was a report that delegitimized natural medicine, shut down hundreds of holistic schools, standardized medical education around pharmaceutical drugs, Influenced licensing and accreditation, and redirected medical science away from nutrition and toward chemistry.
This was the birth of the pharmaceutical model. And guess who controlled the early pharmaceutical industry?
Rockefeller.
This meant: the more chronic illness, the more profit and the more dependence, the more control.
Here is a quote:
"Within a few decades of the report’s publication, the general population had begun to turn away from plants and toward isolated extracts that could be measured and standardized – the beginning of the pharmaceutical takeover. Rockefeller continued to fund biomedical research long after the Flexner Report was published, and went on to become one of the field’s most significant sources of philanthropic funding to date.
With the foundation laid in medical schools and then decades of relentless pharmaceutical advertisement focused on symptom suppression; regardless of side-effects, even with not fully tested products… And then add in two pharmaceutical lobbyists per congress person, well, you know the rest of the story." ~ https://kamimcbride.com/the-flexner-report/ - by: Kami McBride
If you've been following me for a while, this all sounds far too familiar. What I am calling "the Rockefeller dilemma" is a new discovery for me. Don't get me wrong, I have known that the industry was and is corrupt, but I did not know that they were behind the whole 3 meal per day thing. And I have known many things about the Rockefeller's but this one is a new learn. Honestly, for years now I have been a 1-2 meal per day supporter for many reasons. And learning all about this piece of the puzzle, just further cements in my beliefs and why I hold to them.
A population eating nutrient-poor, grain-focused meals 3+ times per day was the dream scenario.
He funded schools and institutions the pushed the agenda and ideas that:
- Breakfast = health
- Skipping breakfast = dangerous
- The body “needs” morning glucose
- Cereal is heart-healthy
This paired perfectly with:
- Cereal companies like Kellogg’s (who were also plugged into the new medical establishment)
- The American Heart Association (which was later funded by Procter & Gamble — another industrial oil company pushing seed oils)
- Government-backed food programs in schools
And the propaganda message went out all over and it was repeated over and over. Radio news stations, government, doctors, mainstream health leaders, commercials, etc. All began speaking the propaganda message!! And as a result people were trained to believe that breakfast must be eaten on a daily basis, grains were healthy, fat is dangerous, red meat is harmful, and frequent eating equals "a balanced eating routine".
This was not just misinformation, this was the purest form of disinformation! Done on purpose!
Because of all of this, the perfect storm was created. A storm that brought profits, dependence, and control.
The grains and processed carbs literally spiked insulin, which then led to constant hunger. The industrial seed oils and synthetic additives caused many health issues, especially chronic inflammation. And the many other illnesses that it created are: diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, obesity, depression, anxiety, digestive dysfunction, etc.
Each and every one of these illnesses and diseases get prescribed pharmaceutical medication's that eventually end up being lifetime medication's. What does this mean? Lifetime profits!! This is exactly what the Rockefeller medical system was designed around.
1. Multiple meals per day consuming processed grains and processed carbs, plus the industrial seed oils.
2. Constant hunger
3. Dependence on snacks, meals, and routines; people were literally pulled out of their natural fasting and feeding cycle and then forced into a chronic insulin elevation and constant snacking and eating habits NOT with whole foods
4. Chronic inflammation from the industrial oils and synthetic additives.
5. Chronic lifetime illnesses like: diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, obesity, depression, anxiety, digestive dysfunction, etc.
Add all of this together and you get a constant profit machine that profits off of peoples chronic eating habits, declining health, and pharmaceutical dependence.
As you can see this was not an accidental thing. This was all literally engineered. And this is the very reason why for many years now I have questioned the multiple meals per day agenda. And the more people that I talked to that I've been enlightened, agree with the fact that we should not be eating multiple meals per day. As I said earlier in this article, I am a firm believer in 1 to 2 meals per day and having both of those meals be full of real foods. Meaning minimal simple ingredients or foods with just one ingredient. I will also add that I'm a firm believer in the fact that there is no essential carb. We don't need carbs with every meal. However, they can be useful when used as a tool instead of something that's paired with every meal.
So yes, with that being said, I put a very high priority on proteins and an extremely low priority on carbs and starches. One more thing I will mention here around carbs and starches. As soon as any kind of carb or starch goes inside your body, it immediately turns into sugar. Literally, the body treats it the same as sugar. A lot of people don't necessarily think of carbs and starches that way. It doesn't matter how pure or how complex the carb is. It all turns to sugar as soon as it enters the body!!
